Hey honeys and hustlers,
On Saturday night, I listened to live music under the stars at the Lincoln Theatre, surrounded by thousands of neighbors supporting organizations across the Triangle. It’s one of my favorite nights of the year. Yesterday, I took a day to do mostly nothing. These past few months, I’ve felt rushed. Unwell. Behind. It is a constant practice of mine to get out of the habit of thinking of rest as something that happens when I’m “caught up” or “finished.” There’s always work to be done; it’s why I designed my life around doing work that I love. Your nervous system doesn’t give a shit if your goals are measurable. It cares if you're safe. Rested. Alive.
Here’s a message from the folks who help keep the lights on.

Band Together brings together 2 things I love: community impact and live music. The best people enjoying a collective experience supporting organizations that do critical work in our local community. Supporting local businesses and organizations that are hemorrhaging money is more important now than ever. It’s not always easy to show up for others when you can barely show up for yourself. I’ve been working through grief, missing self-imposed deadlines, and the start of my busiest quarter of the year.
My slow Sunday ran into a very unpleasant Monday, and not because of Amazon AWS. It’s just life right now. This is simply my reminder to treat yo self, come see me in Richmond, check out my new course, and enjoy the rest of your week.
I’m rooting for you.
